Privacy notice

The application

yourfinance stores your records in files on your own computer. There is no account, no server holding your data, and no telemetry: the application sends nothing on its own. Every feature that could make a network request (market data, AI research, notifications, crypto prices, connectors) is off by default, hidden until you switch it on, and shows you what it sends before it does. Diagnostics you export contain the version and counts only, never a ticker, a quantity or an amount.

A licence key is verified on your computer against a public key built into the application. Nothing is sent to check it and there is no activation count.

This website

This site sets no cookies, loads no fonts or scripts from other companies and shows no ads. Aggregate, cookieless page statistics may be collected by [F2: Cloudflare Web Analytics, if enabled]; they do not identify you.

When you buy

Checkout is handled by [F3: Polar] as merchant of record. They receive what a purchase needs (your e-mail, payment details, country for tax) under their own privacy notice. We receive the order id and your e-mail address so the key can be sent to you. The key contains a hash of your e-mail, not the address, and our order record keeps a hash of the key, not the key.

When you write to us

Feedback and support e-mail goes to a mailbox the founder reads. It is kept as long as the conversation is useful and deleted on request. In-app feedback drafts contain the version, platform, tier and switch states you can see before sending, never your records.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to your supervisory authority. Write to [F6: support@<domain>].
